Meet Alan Toth

Alan Toth is a graduate of Harvard University where he earned a B.A. degree magna cum laude in 1966 and a Ph.D. degree in 1977.  He also holds a M.A. degree from Louisiana State University.

Alan served as an air intelligence officer during the Viet Nam War.  He was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal in 1970.

As the State Archaeologist of Louisiana from 1975 through 1978, Dr. Toth was responsible for establishing that state’s model archaeological program.  He has published several books and papers on the archaeology of the Lower Mississippi Valley and the De Soto entrada into the southeastern United States.

Alan entered the financial field in the spring of 1981.  He is an Investment Advisor Representative with SagePoint Financial Inc. and affiliated with the North Haven, Connecticut branch office.  He has been a Certified Financial Planner since 1989, and a discretionary account manager since 1998.

Alan works and resides in Cheshire, Connecticut with his wife, Carolyn.  He has two grown sons, Scott and Marc.  He enjoys fishing, reading and teaching the Bible to international students.
