During the 1970s Alan earned his Ph.D. from Harvard University in Anthropology, and supervised extensive archaeological field work in Louisiana and Mississippi culminating in the position of State Archaeologist of Louisiana where he helped to establish that state’s model archaeological program. He promoted research on and conservation of the state’s rich prehistoric history through frequent television news appearances and in an hour special on the Tunica Indians presented by the public television station in New Orleans in 1978. Alan is the author of two books and many published papers on his research on the Lower Mississippi Valley and the DeSoto entrada into the Southeastern United States.

With over 40 years of helping individuals and small businesses manage their investments at all levels, Alan offers EXPERIENCE, INTEGRITY, and SERVICE that is virtually unmatched. He loves job, his responsibility, and his clients (for some he has been a trusted advisor for four generations!!) and has no intention to retire for many years. Because he never stops studying and learning, his approach gets better every year.
Alan works and resides in Cheshire, Connecticut with his wife, Rosette Rene Toth, who is a Registered Nurse and studying to become a Nurse Practitioner. He has two grown sons, Scott and Marc, and two grown daughters, Vladrose and Rose-emma, and four grandchildren. He enjoys fishing, nature, reading and taking long walks with his wife.
For over ten years he taught a weekly non-credit Bible study for international students (mostly mainland Chinese graduate students) at Yale University. For much of that time he also helped run a Sunday School program for them and served as a Pentecostal preacher at a Sunday church service for internationals held in Dwight Chapel on the old Yale campus.
